What we offer
Our higher education accommodation is located in either the Moulton or Holcot areas of our main campus, a short walk from everything you’ll need. Roll out of bed and in minutes you can be in lectures, cafés, specialist training areas, our campus shop, library and sports facilities.
This is everything you’d expect from student accommodation – just delivered in a more personal setting.
You’ll have your own space, shared with other higher education students, and access to the facilities, support and social life that make student living work.
What’s included
You’ll have an ensuite bedroom, either on your own or sharing with one other person. This gives you a private space to study, relax and switch off. Kitchens and social areas are shared with other higher education students, so you get independence and a sense of community.
Rooms are self catered as standard, giving you full control over how and when you eat. If you’d prefer a helping hand, you can choose to purchase nutritional, fair-priced meals at our campus restaurant.
High speed Wi Fi is available throughout accommodation, bills are included and communal areas, bedrooms and bathrooms are cleaned weekly, so everyday living stays simple and manageable.
Accommodation is also designed to feel secure and well managed, with controlled access, on site staff and a monitored campus environment to help you feel safe while you live and study here.

Accommodation fees
Our higher education students need to pay an initial deposit of £250. You will then be charged an annual rent.
For students residing with us in 2026/27, the annual rent charges are as follows:
- £3,651 for a single room on a self-catering basis (5 nights a week, arriving Sunday, leaving Friday)
- £5,115 for a single room on a self-catering basis (7 nights a week)
Please note that these may be subject to change for subsequent years.
As a higher education student, you will be responsible for funding both your course fees and any related costs such as transport and accommodation. This can be daunting, but there are a range of loans and bursaries to help you meet these costs.
Accommodation for disabled students
We have several rooms that are adapted for students with disabilities and additional support needs.
If you wish to be accommodated in these adapted rooms, you should identify your support needs on your accommodation application form.

Yes. Our accommodation is designed to support independent student living and offers the kind of experience you’d expect when studying at degree level.
Yes. Higher education students live in dedicated accommodation areas for over‑18s. This ensures you’ll be living with your students your own age, with full independence.
Yes. Visitors are permitted in your accommodation until 11pm and our higher education students are allowed overnight guests providing you submit a Guest Request Form. To ensure that we can meet our safeguarding obligations, persons under the age of 18 are not permitted to visit your residence. This includes further education students who live on campus.
No. Living in accommodation is optional. Some HE students commute or live locally, while others choose on‑campus living for convenience and community.
Yes. Accommodation is based on independent living, with personal responsibility and respect for shared spaces.
Yes. While accommodation encourages independence, support staff are available if you need help, guidance or advice during your stay. This includes a warden team and 24/7 on-site security.
Places are allocated subject to availability. Applying early gives you the best chance of securing a place and we are usually in a position to offer all first-year students a place in residential halls.
