Tuition fees
If you start a full time HNC, HND or undergraduate degree in 2026, tuition fees are set at:
- £6,000 per year for full time HNC or HND courses
- £9,000 per year for full time foundation degrees and BSc (Hons) degrees
These fees are usually covered by a Tuition Fee Loan, paid directly to the College. You won’t need to pay tuition fees upfront.
Part-time higher education courses (2026 entry)
If you study part time, fees depend on the number of credits you take:
- £1,500 per 20 credit module for Foundation Degree and BSc (Hons) programmes
- £3,000 per year for part time HNC or HND coursesFees are fixed for
your course start year, so you’ll pay the same rate throughout your studies.
Student loans and living costs
Most HE students apply for student finance through Student Finance England.
This typically includes:
- a Tuition Fee Loan to cover course fees (paid directly to the College)
- a Maintenance Loan to help with living costs, paid to you in instalments
Repayments only begin after you finish your course and earn above the repayment threshold, and are based on income – not how much you borrowed.

Additional course costs
Some courses involve extra costs alongside tuition fees. These can include:
- specialist clothing or uniform
- personal protective equipment (PPE)
- field trips or course related travel

Accommodation costs
Accommodation for higher education students is available at either the Moulton or Holcot areas of our main campus, offered on a self catering basis with the option to purchase meals at our on-campus restaurant.
For students joining us in 2026, annual accommodation costs are as follows:
£3,651 per year (5 nights per week, self catered)
£5,115 per year (7 nights per week, self catered)
Accommodation costs are reviewed annually and may change for future intakes. A £250 deposit is required once accommodation is offered.
Financial support and advice
As a higher education student, you are responsible for covering tuition, accommodation and living costs. We understand this can sometimes feel daunting but you don’t have to navigate it alone.
Support is available for:
- understanding how student finance works
- budgeting and planning for your studies
- applying for Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA), where eligible
- discussing individual circumstances in confidence

Our bursaries
In addition to student loans, we offer a range of bursaries to some higher education students to help with essential study‑related costs.
Bursaries are designed to support students who may face financial barriers to continuing their studies and do not need to be paid back.
Bursary funding is not automatic and needs to be applied for. Availability and eligibility can vary each year, and funds are allocated where there is clear need.
This is available to full-time students based on a household income assessment. Students with residual household income of less than £25,000 will be eligible for £1,000. Students with a household income of less than £42,600, but more than £25,000 will be eligible for £500.
This limited discretionary fund has been created to help if students find themselves in dire financial need which could impact on their ability to continue their course. Eligibility will be based on an assessment of household income and outgoings.
To be eligible to apply for a hardship award applicants must have a residual income of under £25,000 per annum. Those who have left care recently can apply under this Bursary for support to enable continuation or completion of their studies.
Most of the above bursaries are paid in two instalments of £500 in December and March in your first year only. Unless indicated, they are not dependent upon income, and a student can only qualify for one of these awards.
