Course (Tuition) fees
Information on fees for courses can be obtained by contacting the Student Services team either by email or by phone on 01604 491131.
Additional course costs
Some courses will require additional fees/costs which may include:
- Uniform
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Trips
Full details of these are included within the Equipment List for each subject. However, if you are concerned about paying these please speak in confidence to one of our Student Services team who will be able to advise about the financial support available.
Accommodation fees
Your accommodation will most likely be located at our Moulton campus and is offered on a self-catering basis. You will need to pay an initial deposit of £250.
Annual rent charges for students aged 18 and over for the academic year 2026/27 are as follows:
- £3,651 for a single room on a self-catering basis (5 nights per week)
- £5,115 for a single room on a self-catering basis (7 nights per week)
Please note that these are subject to review for subsequent years.
Financial Assistance and Bursary Information
As a 19+ student, you will be responsible for funding both your course fees and any related costs such as transport and accommodation. There are a range of loans and bursaries available to help you meet these costs.
Lifelong Learning Entitlement
The Government is introducing the Lifelong Learning Entitlement (LLE), a new student finance system designed to help adults gain new skills, retrain and progress in their careers throughout their working lives. The LLE will gradually replace Advanced Learner Loans for many higher-level qualifications.
From 2027, eligible learners will be able to access funding for approved courses and modules at Levels 4 to 6, giving greater flexibility to study full qualifications or smaller units of learning over time.
- Flexible funding that can be used across a learner's lifetime.
- The option to study full qualifications or individual modules.
- Support for adults looking to upskill, retrain or change career.
- Access to maintenance support for eligible learners studying approved courses with in-person attendance.
Advanced Learner Loans
Advanced Learner Loans continue to be available for eligible learners studying certain Further Education qualifications. As the Lifelong Learning Entitlement is introduced, some higher-level courses will move to the new funding system. Our Student Services team can advise you on the most appropriate funding route for your chosen course.
19+ Bursary
As a 19+ learner you can access bursary funds to support essential course related costs such as course fees, transport, accommodation, course uniform/PPE and childcare. The funding is available if you are from a low income family and assessments will be made against identified needs.
To access this funding, you will need to apply to our Student Services team.
Studley College Trust Fund
If you are studying an Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry or Arboriculture course you could be eligible for the Studley College Trust Fund.
Studley College Trust Fund provides financial support in the form of student bursaries for study and training activities in the land-based industries, to a maximum of £2,500 in any academic year.
You are eligible to be considered for an award from the Studley College Trust Fund if you study one of our following courses:
- Agriculture
- Arboriculture & Forestry
- Horticulture
By applying for the Studley College Fund you could get financial support towards course fees, accommodation costs, food, transport, books and study materials, protective clothing where this is a necessary part of the curriculum, external test/examination fees and course study trips.
This is a limited fund and applications will be considered and awarded whilst funds are remaining. You can make your application through our Student Services team who will be able to assist you.
Funding for stonemasonry and carpentry students
If you are aged 19 or over and wanting to study Stonemasonry or Carpentry, you may be eligible for a bursary from the Townscape Heritage Initiative (THI). The project is a Heritage Lottery funded scheme that enables the Borough Council of Wellingborough to provide funding for training and tools.
The bursary is for up to £500 to help pay for training at Moulton or an alternate supplier and up to £100 to help with tools. The bursary can be used to fund either full time courses or the cost of short courses to build heritage skills.
